University bragging rights are on the line and online with our Inter University Competition. With $10,000 in cash for the winning Uni and $500 each and 10 seats to the Semi-Final for the top players on your squad, this is one competition you can’t afford to miss.
How does the competition work?
For every VC Student Poker Championships Online Qualifier on the tournament schedule, there’ll be 73 points up for grabs for the players who finish between 1st and 27th. When you gain points they count twofold: once towards your own individual score and also towards your University’s overall score. As you and your University mates accumulate points throughout the year, you’ll move up our Inter University Leaderboard, moving you one step closer to the $10,000 and those bonus seats.

How do I Enter?
Entry is free and all you have to do to enter is play in the VC Student Poker Championship. To do this, you must of course have downloaded the Student Software and have your info filled in correctly. For more info on registering properly, click here.
What can I win?
Top University
The University with the top score at the end of the Online Qualifiers will receive $10,000 and 10 Seats split as follows:
- $500 each to the Top 10 players from the winning University.
- 10 Seats to the Semi final to the Top 10 Players (who have not yet already won seats) from the winning University.
- $5,000 split amongst the remaining participating players from the winning University.
Top Player at each University
- The top ranked player, based on points acquired via the Inter University Competition will win a 300 piece aluminium chip set, a pack of high quality VC Poker playing cards and a VC Poker football jersey.
Will last year’s champion Warwick defend their title or will it be your team taking home the cash, seat and bragging rights? Only time and solid poker play will tell.
