VC Poker announces dates for flagship land-based tournament.

VC Poker, the online poker room of leading independent bookmaker Victor Chandler, has today announced that the 2005 VC Poker Cup will be held at the Teddington Studios between 1st - 5 th August.

Now in its second year, The VC Poker Cup is Europe's most prestigious poker event and will feature top professionals, internet qualifiers and well-known celebrities playing for what is expected to be Europe's biggest ever prize pool. The event is being filmed and will be broadcast in a ten-part series on Sky Sports.

The 2004 Victor Poker Cup was won by London poker star Harry Demetriou after he beat off a field of 100 players to the £250,000 first prize. Featuring such names as Dave 'The Devilfish' Ulliot, The Hendon Mob, Noli Francisco, Donnacha O'Dea and Hollywood hardman Vinnie Jones, the subsequent broadcasts have been watched by millions of people around the world.
