Welcome to the first ever issue of “The Big Slick”, the newsletter.

But unlike most newsletters that just push the same old same old, we hope that you’ll find The Big Slick a little bit different. Why? Because it’s been written by online poker players for online poker players, and we hope that it will actually provide you with an interesting and stimulating read.

The Big Slick is also a newsletter for the community, so in many ways it’s your newsletter. Which is why we’d like as many of you as possible to write for it. If you’ve got a poker article in you, a letter or a passing comment, don’t keep it to yourself. Drop us an email at bigslick@vcpoker.com and let us know all about it.

So what will you find in this, our inaugural issue? Well, lots, that’s what. You’ll find all the latest community news that you’d expect to find, including tournament updates, new features and new promotions. But there’s more besides. We’ve got a review of an online player trying his luck against the pros in a real-world poker tournaments. We’ve got the launch of our new poker blog, which will give you a taste of poker action every single day. There’s tournament results, our player of the month and an article covering tells on the web. If you love poker, then we hope that you’ll soon come to see The Big Slick as a monthly must-see.
